Onam Festival in Kerala, India
Onam is a tradition of Kerala and it’s the ten days of the harvest festival of Kerala. Kerala is a state on the southwestern Malabar Coast of India.
Kerala known, as well as God’s own country.
There are actually main four days of Onam. The first Onam will be on the day before Thiruvonam.
Onam celebrations continue throughout these days, and even longer.
Onapookalm is floral carpet decorate with flowers.
Thiruvathirakali is a popular dance form of Kerala on the day of Onam.
Vallamkali (the Boat race)
The traditional boat race is an important event during the event of Onam. This Event will be on the Pamba River in Kerala.
Onasadhya (The famous traditional feast)
Vegetarian meal there are more than 29 Variety of dishes served in a Banana leaf.
It includes vegetable curries and Dessert like the variety of Payasam also.
Onam celebration over 10 days.
Starts from Atham, Chithira, Chodhi, Vishakam, Anizham, Thriketa, Moolam, Pooradam,
Uthradam, Thiruonam (Important day of Onam).
